The Croatian FACC production plant, specialized in aircraft interior components, was opened recently in Jakovlje. For the occasion, FACC hired Bruketa&Žinić&Grey agency as partners to organize the opening ceremony.
FACC is a worldwide leading company in design, development and production of aerospace technologies and advanced aircraft lightweight systems. It is headquartered in Austria and part of the Chinese Group AVIC, which is represented on the Fortune Global 500 list. Every second, an aircraft with FACC technology on board, such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, Rolls-Royce and others, takes off somewhere. In addition, FACC collaborates in the development of solutions for air mobility of the future, such as autonomous aerial taxi vehicles.
This strategically important milestone marking the opening of the Croatian facility was celebrated together with 170 Croatian employees and 400 invitees, including representatives of international customers, shareholders, long-term companions, Austrian and Croatian government and the key Croatian media outlets.
A helicopter show featuring the legend of Austrian aviation, Felix Baumgartner, known for his jump from the edge of space, was the highlight of the ceremony. After performing spectacular air stunts, he landed before the factory building with a huge key to symbolically open the new facility accompanied by the company representatives and Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
The ceremony took place outdoors, in front of the factory, all day long from morning till evening. It was kicked off by formal address to distinguished invitees, followed by a photo session with the hosts and jumbo birthday card signing. The events on the stage began by a footage mix, showing a drone flying through the FACC headquarters in Austria and live aerial views over the Croatian production plant, made by drone master Raffael Portugal.
The opening ceremony was moderated by Ivan Šarić. The audience was addressed by FACC CEO Robert Machtlinger, chairman of the Supervisory Board Pang Zheng, who was also presented with a corporate award on this occasion, and Prime Minister Andrej Plenković. The ceremony incorporated a short interview with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria, His Excellency Josef Markus Wuketich and the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Qi Qianjin as well.
In the very end, journalists and invitees were able to take the tour of the factory, sit in an autonomous aerial taxi vehicle on display and engage in informal networking later on. In the afternoon, the party was in full swing turning into a concert gathering together all the employees and their families too.
