The visual identity of the Regional Centre of Excellence for Robotic Technology, CRTA, has won a Merit award for innovation by the prestigious Art Directors Club New York (ADC Awards), the world’s longest running design and advertising competition.
CRTA is a Robotics Lab within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb. The development of its visual identity was AI-driven. The process began with the name of the laboratory “CRTA”, handwritten by students, providing inputs for AI, and led to a plethora of visual data upon which the visual identity was based.
At this year’s ADC NY 101st Annual Awards the CRTA visual identity won a Merit award in the Brand / Communication Design category for innovation.
The Art Directors Club of New York (ADC Awards) was founded in New York in 1920 to enhance the quality of creative visual communications and to connect creative professionals across the world.
To date the CRTA visual identity has won the Red Dot seal, has been nominated as the first Croatian graphic design for Dezeen Award, the world’s most important architecture and design magazine, and has been featured in Designboom, the world’s top most-read online magazine for architecture and design.
