Botel Marina is unique, the first floating boat-ho(s)tel on the Mediterranean, located at the Adamić’s Pier in the center of Rijeka. The agency’s assignment was to create its visual identity and the solution is based on the boat’s rich history.
The boat was built in Denmark in 1939 and its launching godmother was the Swedish princess where it got its name from – Kronprinsessan Ingrid. At first it sailed between Scandinavian harbors. In 1969 it was bought by Lošinjska plovidba (Croatian sailing company) so in November 1969 the boat starts an 18 day journey from Stockholm to Mali Lošinj (Croatian island in the north Adriatic).
Since then until 2005 the boat has been sailing the Adriatic regularly between Zadar, Silba, Mali Lošinj, Unije, Pula, Koper and Venice. According to the sailing regulations, Marina was considered the oldest passage boat with a sailing license until 2007.
The visual identity of Botel Marina is inspired by the symbols of the countries the boat sailed through and the transition between them.
