American creativity award to Azerbaijani brand Mimi

Artgroup Bruketa&Zinic OM Baku agency awarded for the third time by Creativity Awards, one of the oldest-running advertising competitions in the world

Integrated advertising campaign for Azerbaijani children’s dairy brand Mimi has won Silver at the American Creativity International Awards. In collaboration with Milla as the advertiser, the campaign was devised strategically and creatively by the agency Artgroup Bruketa&Zinic OM Baku, this being their third Creativity Award.

Creativity International Awards is one of the oldest-running independent competitions of its kind that has been celebrating creativity in advertising and design for 44 years. The competition was founded in the USA by the Art Direction Magazine in 1971.

“Milla is the dairy market leader in Azerbaijan and we wanted to create healthy, innovative and fun children’s products and their communication”, Philip Wright, Managing Director of Milla said.

“Mimi is one of my favorite campaigns. We developed the naming and product design for flavored milk and fruit yogurt based on a giraffe named Mimi. Mimi’s world contains 38 Mimi characters and interactive games, 4 TVCs, a series of billboards, posters and POS materials, and an interactive web page. I’m excited because this award is recognition to us that all materials developed were out-of-box,”said Ilham Akbarli, Copywriter in Artgroup Bruketa&Zinic OM Baku.

Besides Mr. Akbarli, the team that worked on the campaign included Creative Director Kitica Kekic, Director Helena Rosandic, Art Directors Vlado Peric and Ramin Həsənəlizadə, and Account Manager Usya Akhundova. Their newset collaboration with Milla company is the Milla Ayran Limited Edition for European Games 2015.

Each year at least 20 jury members volunteer to evaluate work entered to Creativity International Awards. Part of this year’s jury were Davy Rudolph from Apple; Facebook, Amazon and Forbes collaborator Ayesha Mathews Wadhwa, Paulo Chacon Baltodano, Creative Director behind British American Tobacco, Mcdonalds, Toyota, Coca Cola, American Express, Microsoft, BMW and other brand campaigns. Entries to this year’s 45th Creativity International Media & Interactive Design Awards came from 16 countries.
