“A soup to remember” was awarded at the only creative competition judged by journalists

A clothing brand made of organically grown raw materials Brokula&Ž won 1st place at the awards organized by the most popular global online magazine for packaging design
The Dieline Package Design Awards 2013 ceremony organized by the world’s most popular online magazine for package design was held this weekend in San Francisco. Brokula&Ž, a clothing brand made of organically grown raw materials and the agency Bruketa&Žinić OM won 1st place in the Personal Care & Clothing category.
The challenge in creating Brokula&Ž packaging was to make it eco-friendly, functional and fun at the same time. The agency’s team created a solution using recycled paper, eco-friendly colors, without glue or plastic, making it cup-shaped and usable after unpacking. The agency team were: Davor Bruketa and Nikola Zinic (Creative Directors), Nebojsa Cvetkovic (Art Director), Svjetlana Vukic (Account Executive Senior), Vesna Durasin (Production Manager), Ivan Cadez (Senior Copywriter), Marko Ostrez and Radovan Radicevic (DTP).
The 2013 competition received over 1100 entries from 61 countries around the world, and entrants were judged by a highly esteemed panel of 12 industry experts, presided by Debbie Millman, the president of the largest professional design organization AIGA. Mike Peck from Starbucks was also in the jury, as well as Jason Schulte whose clients include Coca-Cola, Apple, Disney, eBay and Google and Steve Kazanjian from MeadWestvaco, a packaging company working with Johnson&Johnson and Colgate/Palmolive. The judging criteria were quality of creativity, marketability and innovation.
Karim Rashid, Lufthansa Airlines, Johnnie Walker whisky, Absolut vodka, LUSH cosmetics, Philips, Siemens were also among the awarded ones.
