Brand Impact Award for sparkling wine made, sold and tasted in pitch darkness.
The Untouched by Light sparkling wine, a project by Bruketa&Žinić&Grey Agency and Radgonske gorice, won the Brand Impacts Awards Bronze trophy. It is the first sparkling wine in the world made, sold and tasted in pitch darkness, in response to research showing adverse effect of light on wine flavors (the so-called light-struck aromas).
Brand Impacts Awards reward the very best branding projects from around the world, and Untouched by Light was the only project this year to be rewarded in the category: Wine, Beer & Spirits.
This year’s winners also include strong brands like Mailchimp, the Guardian, Mixcloud and Cadbury chocolate.
This time the projects were judged by a specialist panel composed of 28 specialists including the representatives from world-class branding agencies such as Domenic Lippa from Pentagram and Peter Knapp from Landor.
The previous winners of Brand Impact Awards were Google, Airbnb, McDonald’s, Kellogg’s, Williams Formula 1, Sony Playstation, Adidas, BBC Two, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and others ‒ “crème de la crème” making Brand Impact Rewards relevant on a global scale.
