ResoLution Signature Restaurant in Lone Hotel

Visual Identity

The Lone Hotel is a unique design hotel created by top-notch Croatian architects, designers and artists. The new ResoLution Signature Restaurant also reflects the creativity lying at the heart of this hotel’s brand. Besides its menu based on a healthy Mediterranean approach to food, the restaurant offers its guests an opportunity for a more specific healthy resolution – to take part in cooking classes or to attend cooking demonstrations.

The restaurant is situated in the captivating premises of the former L restaurant opening up towards the gardens surrounding the hotel swimming pool. The architectural studio 3LHD was in charge of its spatial redesign, whereas the Bruketa&Žinić&Grey Agency was once again responsible for its visual identity, but its new name as well.

In keeping with the existing concept of hotel restaurant names which partially contain the name of the hotel, in this case the name ResoLution retained a letter L, the initial letter of the hotel name and the old restaurant name, designating a resolute decision about healthy nutrition. The culinary school was renamed to RevoLution along the same lines, denoting the idea of a new, contemporary approach to cooking.

The visual identity incorporates the existing hotel identity, combining the deconstructed forms inspired by the shape of the hotel itself with the illustrations of fresh groceries and the chopping effect.

The 3LHD studio designed the premises to evoke a “home-based”, and not a professional kitchen, separated from the rest of the restaurant by a number of revolving glass partitions. The central part is occupied by an “island” visible to a majority of those taking part in the cooking classes freely positioned around the movable modular tables.

A simple outside kitchen in annexed to the inside kitchen, in perfect accord with the green setting of the restaurant terrace, positioned to allure passers-by, and not to distract the guests from their enjoyable plates. The furniture is again signed by Numen/For Use, whereas the staff’s uniforms were designed by I-GLE.
