The new campaign for Croatia osiguranje (Croatia insurance) focuses on the importance of property insurance. Less than 20 percent of Croatian households have their properties insured, which is the result of a widespread “that can’t happen to us” mentality.
The campaign communicates its message through two video ads that stress common problems and concerns among households: “Flood” and “Fire”, both represented by two annoying characters. As in the case of natural disasters and accidents, Mr Fire and Mrs Flood don’t really care what kind of damage they are doing. Careless and uninsured residents, caught off guard when cooking or brushing their teeth, are left desperate and have to call their neighbours and a landlord for help.
Croatia osiguranje is the largest and oldest insurance company in Croatia. Founded in 1884 as Croatia Insurance Society, the company has a long tradition of offering various types of insurance, such as: accident, health, road motor vehicle, rolling stock, aircraft, vessel, goods in transit, fire and natural disaster, and other property insurance.
