What are the challenges designers are facing in the advertising industry today and what was it like before; what are the advantages and shortcomings of working in an advertising agency – these were all questions raised during a panel discussion in Croatian Designers Society Gallery on April 28th. The event was part of the off program of an exhibition Zvonko Beker and economic propaganda after WW2.
Besides Davor Bruketa, the panel included Goran Martin Štimac, Branimir Lazanja and the exhibition’s curators Marko Golub and Koraljka Vlajo. Bruketa said how designers often rather decide to work for cultural sector where their results are less exactly measured and where their work tends to gravitate more towards art than communication.
