After launching their own brand of clothing Brokula&Ž made from organic raw materials this September, this week, Bruketa&Žinić together with their partner textile company Lacuna launched manufacturing of the branch in Croatia. Brokula&Ž is a brand of underwear and T-shirts for women and men, made from organic cotton and cellulose fibres. The first series was produced in Turkey, where the raw materials originate from. As of this week, smaller series and prototypes will be sewn at the head of the company Brokula&Ž in Pustodol Začretski (Sveti Križ Začretje), while large series will be sewn in the Hemco factory in Đakovo.
Since launching the brand in September, Lacuna has hired an additional eight staff, most of whom are former employees of the failed Kamensko factory, and who will be sewing their technical knowledge and dedication to quality into the Brokula&Ž brand.
Proof that this is a brand with export potential is seen in the fact that Brokula&Ž will be included in the report of London’s Global Innovation Report, which foresees trends in 2013.
All the international certificates guaranteeing ecological and organic production of the Brokula&Ž brand have been certified in Croatia this week. The existing international certificates, i.e. the certificates of the OE 100 Standard of the Organic Exchange and OE Blended Standard of the Organic Exchange, which guarantee that the materials are of organic origin and do not use dyes that are harmful to humans, were issued by the Dutch company Control Union Certification/ Peterson Control Union Group.
