Davor Bruketa went to Portorož at the beginning of this week for the Golden Drum judging, the festival that’s happening from October 5 – 8. The Festival, that’s been around for 18 years awarding the New Europe advertising projects, is well known to everyone in the business.
New Europe includes the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The jury president was Stefan Schmidt, Creative at Large at the TBWA Europe and the TBWA Berlin Creative Director. He has worked for brands such as Mercedes Benz, Lufthansa, Playstation, adidas and Kawasaki, and has won many awards for it.
Jon Williams was also among the jury members, he’s from Grey London (Honda, Toshiba, Hewlett Packard, X-box, Microsoft, Land Rover, Renault), then Pawel Heinze from Leo Burnett Warsaw (Heineken, Mercedes-Benz, Motorola, Kodak, UPS, Nestle, Unilever i Braun) and six other Creative Directors from agencies like Publicis Romania, Futura DDB Slovenia, Ogilvy Group Hungary and Ukraine or BBDO Czech Republic.
