American interns landed in Brigada

After Ozora and Casey earlier this year, and Wyeth in 2015, Brigada welcomes three new interns from the University of Cinncinati, USA.

Meghan is an interior design student. She says her passion for design stems from her curiosity about the world around us and how we interact with it. In the future she would like to work for a retail design firm in a large city and so far in Brigada she has learned to work hard/play hard and to adapt to fast paced project deadlines.

Alexis is also an interior design student and comes from Springboro, Ohio (That’s between Dayton and Cinncinati, y’all geography ditchers).“Form follows function is one of the most important things to remember in retail design”, says Alexis about the things she learned so far in Brigada. “Clients want to know how the design solves specific issues, and less about how the specific concept was decided.” In the future she would like to have a repertoire of experiences in multiple areas of design, in her words, to achieve ‘Gesamtkunstwerk’.

Josh is a product design major from Ypsilanti, Michigan. He has already started a small design firm with a partner in the US, where they are creating small, interesting products for sale online. “I had never designed large spaces before, and I have been given an excellent crash course in understanding the behavior of people as they navigate an environment and I have also learned a lot about how a successful firm is run and organized”, says Josh about his internship in Brigada.
